  • Coaching in a development intervention in which one person (the coach) supports another person (the coachee) to address a specific personal behavioral development question. Coaching is solution oriented and takes place during a defined period of time.
  • Mentoring is both a professional and personal relationship in which one person (the mentor) transfers expertise and experience to another person (the mentee) and thereby supports development and career growth. Mentoring can be part of a development program, initiative and/or can take place on a stand-alone basis.
